Class Description
| Anusara-inspired Yoga | Anusara Yoga®, an elegant synthesis of Tantric philosophy and state-of-the-art biomechanics, was founded in 1997 by John Friend. Each class illuminates a heart-centered theme (such as compassion, courage, humility), which students are guided to experience first-hand through their physical practice. Anusara teachers, both fully certified and Anusara-inspired, are known for their playful celebration of both commonalities and differences, as well as their high level of technical and philosophical training. Classes may be slow-paced with lots of instruction, or full-on flow with little-to-no alignment guidance, depending on the teacher and the capabilities of the practitioners present.
